The theft of art
I find it demeaning to the photographers, the models and myself, who spent their time and effort to create these images, Only to have someone steal our photographs and claim them as their own.
If someone out there is masquerading themselves as having the talents shown in all of these images, someone who goes to work with these misguided creatures will be sadly disappointed at their lack of actual skill. I can't fathom as to why anyone would do this... and it blows my mind.
I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due and as such I come to my point, I've selected some of my favorite images form throughout the years and have collaged them in hopes to make them more difficult to steal. I would watermark them myself, however the photographers own the copyrights and that to would be stealing to splash logo across their art. I've placed a couple of these images below, however the full "HellCat Beauty Favs" can be view on our facebook fanpage here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vancouver-BC/HellCat-Beauty/91334503918#/album.php?aid=144713&id=91334503918&ref=mf

Diversion
Professional salon hair products are typically only to be distributed to and by professional hair salons. However, lately, I am sure many of you have seen some of your favorite brands at drug-stores and other well known chain-retailers, such as Walmart,
Product Diversion has become a big issue in the industry. Take a look at some of these products by Redken, Bumble & Bumble, Paul Mitchell, TIGI, Joico, etc. Even on the products themselves, in bold lettering, it exclaims "Only Sold In Professional Salons".
So what is the big deal?
These products you find in most chain-stores may or may not even be real, and could have been diluted, contaminated, or otherwise. There have even been instances where bacteria was found in these diverted products that could be damaging to your health. Furthermore, alot of these products actually cost MORE than they would in regular salons.
It may be tempting, and even more convenient, to purchase these products at a local retailer, but there is no guarantee to the product's validity. The packaging itself is real, but the contents may be something entirely different.
So do yourself a favor, and buy professional products ONLY from a professional or salon. Doing so will guarantee that your purchase is directly from the manufacturer, distributed properly, and you can save yourself the hassle of having damaging or contaminated products in your hair!
